On Sunday, March 8th, The International Humanitarian City in Dubai hosted its fourth Members Annual Global Meeting. The IHC community consists of 76 members, including humanitarian agencies, UN and nonprofit organizations as well as commercial companies. The annual Members Global Meeting is an opportunity to bring together our diverse ecosystem to share knowledge and to work together in paving the way forward.

This year we celebrated International Women’s Day by paying a special tribute to female humanitarian workers and to women everywhere who continue to selflessly serve humanity. We also shared our 2019 annual report that recapped our journey last year, and our vision for 2020 in a roundtable discussion.

We also held the 2nd edition of the IHC Awards whereby members submit case studies based on categories and are awarded for their good work. This year’s winners are:

Most remarkable initiative

a) Commercial Company: NRS

b) Humanitarian organization: Kinder Hut

Most innovative project for a humanitarian impact: MSF

Special award for oldest member: The Citizens Foundation

Surprise special award: The Lions International Club for their innovative MW robotic chair.
