Dubai, UAE, 14 March 2022: International Humanitarian City (IHC), the leading international hub for providing humanitarian logistics support in emergency situations from Dubai, and DHL Global Forwarding, the leading international provider of air, ocean, and road freight services, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the activities of Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition “DIHAD” held in Dubai from 14-16 March 2022.

IHC and DHL have agreed to cooperate and explore solutions to help operations of humanitarian community including IHC’s Members in the field of logistics and supply chain innovation to improve efficiency, transparency, and visibility, specifically application of IoT technology.

The MoU was signed by Giuseppe Saba, CEO of IHC, and co-signed by Amadou Diallo, CEO DHL Global Forwarding Middle East & Africa, and Tobias Maier CFO DHL Global Forwarding Middle East & Africa at the IHC stand at “DIHAD”.
Guiseppe Saba, CEO of IHC lauded the cooperation with DHL by saying “We are confident that the MoU will pave the way for a new level of cooperation with DHL in new technologies such as “IoT” which will empower institutions and companies to make the right decision at the right time in the most cost-effective manner. Digital supply chain integration is progressively becoming a competitive differentiation of organizations in best managing their asset utilization and enabling new database services.”
Commenting on signing the MoU with IHC, Amadou Diallo, CEO DHL Global Forwarding Middle East & Africa, said “We feel honored to support the International Humanitarian City with our logistics expertise. IHC is a Free Zone Authority mandated by the Government of Dubai to facilitate the work of aid organizations duly registered with IHC (“IHC’s Members”) by providing them with facilities and services adapted to their operational needs, with the aim of establishing the emirate of Dubai as a hub for providing humanitarian aid in emergency situations and for disaster relief.
