Head of Marketing and Communications with experience in the humanitarian field
Communications; Humanitarian Logistics services; and Humanitarian Programs & Initiatives are the 3 core services that constitute the Operations Department at IHC.
The Communication arm is responsible for presenting and promoting IHC internally and externally, in addition to the services provided to IHC members, prospective members, the broader philanthropic community, and beyond.
The Communications team shall ensure that marketing, visibility and communication tools, including social, are efficiently and effectively utilized to promote IHC and its members through a variety of platforms which correctly reflect the objectives, vision and mission of IHC. Communications Service shall seek to increase awareness about IHC its activities as well as those of its members. The s shall ensure consistency in messaging across all forms of communication; internal corporate level communications as well as communications to external audiences. The head of Communications shall liaise with all communication services of the IHC humanitarian community, and any external media representative and outlet.
The head of communication has the responsibility of overseeing the communications team, and managing the Flash studio, as well supervising social media activities and productions of documents, and press release. The head of communication is also responsible for preparing a submit the draft of IHC communication strategy as well as its implementation plan.
Mandatory requirements:
- 10 years of experience in the field of communication out of which at least 2 years in the humanitarian field communication
- Proficiency in writing and speaking at least Arabic and English
- Master degree in Communication or International Relations or Humanitarian studies
- Subject to travel upon short notice
- Submission of CV not later than 16th January 2020
- Entry on duty tentatively February 2020
